General Information
What Training Do You Need To Do?
Food Safety Level 1 is for people working in a kitchen, café, restaurant, school canteen, hotel, supermarkets or other food retail outlets, under supervision. (Also known as Food Safety Level 1, Food Handlers, Food Hygiene Training, Safe Food Handling)
Food Safety Level 2 is for people who will be the Food Safety Supervisor and who have already completed Food Safety Level 1 (SITXOHS002A was THHGHSO1B or HLTFS207B or FDFCORFSY1A).
What Code Do You Need On Your Certificate?
Hospitality Industry
Choose these units if you are working in restaurants, cafes, hotels, retail outlets, school canteens or after school programs.
Health and Community Service Industries
Choose these units if you are working in a childcare centre, nursing home, hostel, hospital or Meals on Wheels
Food Processing Industry
Choose these units if you are working in businesses such as food product manufacturers including flour mills, canneries, packers, bakers, breweries and wineries.
If you are unsure about what level of training you need, or the code you require on your certificate, please contact the Environmental Health Office at your local council and they will advise you of the correct training.

Food Safety Level 1

This course is designed for people in businesses that manufacturer or pack foods. E.g. flour mills, canneries, dried food packers, bakers, breweries and wineries.
FDFCORFSY2A - Implement the Food Safety Program and Procedures - $115
Food Safety Level 2

This course is designed for all people supervising food operations in businesses such as food product manufacturers, flour mills, canneries, dried food packers, bakers, breweries and wineries.

FDFCORFSY2A Online Only - Implement the food safety program and procedures - $210
$210
This course is designed for all people supervising food operations in businesses such as food product manufacturers, flour mills, canneries, dried food packers, bakers, breweries and wineries. The online course differs from the in class course in that the level 1 content is contained within the course.
Health & Community Services Industry
HLTFS207B - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices - $95
Food Safety Level 1

This course is designed for all people handling food in the Community and Health Care Service sectors. (e.g. child care, aged care, hospitals, meals on wheels etc)
HLTFS310B Apply & Monitor Food Safety Requirements & HLTFS309B Oversee the Day-to-Day Implementation of Food Safety in the Workplace - $180
Food Safety Level 2
$180
This combined course is designed for all people supervising food operations in the Community and Health Service industries; (e.g. child care, aged care, hospitals, meals on wheels etc.)
HLTFS309B - Oversee the Day-to-Day Implementation of Food Safety in the Workplace
and
HLTFS310B - Apply and monitor food safety requirements.
The food safety supervisor requires 3 units HLTFS207B, HLTFS309B & HLTFS310B
HLTFS309B - Oversee the Day-to-Day Implementation of Food Safety in the Workplace - $65
$65 (assessment only - by correspondence)
This course is designed for those who need to be the Food Safety Supervisor in the aged care, childcare, hospital, hostel, meal on wheels industry sectors. This certificate is required to oversee food handling in these industries.

Food Safety Level 1
