Food Safety - you are what you eat

The north Queensland city may well be the safest place in Queensland to dine out, while the gold Coast receives the most complaints.

Tonwnsville council had taken a hardline approach to dodgy food outlets, prosecuting four food premises in the past year.

The eateries the council has prosecutedwere found guilty of offences such as having contaminated food and dirty premises.

The Gold Coast, meanwhile, prosecuted three food operators and categorises more than three quarters of their 3701 licensed food venues as "high risk".
