Not fit to serve food

In a massive review of 36,000 food outlets across NSW, more than 8,000 businesses were given formal warnings by the NSW food authority for breaching safety guidelines of having poor food handling practices.
Blacktown, in Sydney's west had the worst records, with inspectors fining 62 restaurants for poor hygiene.
Some of the fines included $660 for serving out if date t-bone steak, fish & chicken, $330 for storing raw meat uncovered on the floor and $660 for not having hand-washing facilities in the kitchen.
Across the state there were 576 comsumer complaints of "foreign matter" in food, including sticking plasters and cockroaches servces in meals.
