What RSA course do I need to do?

Please check State requirements  to see what course you need to undertake. Remember there have been changes to requirements in Queensland since 1 January 2009.

Do not do the national RSA if you need to work in Queensland.

Only do the Qld RSA bridging course if you have a copy of your national RSA or other state or territory RSA certificate that you can send to CFT. The national unit is valid in WA, SA and NT.

When can I get my RSA Certificate?
First of all you need to complete a quick questionnaire so that we can improve the course as others before you have done.

Once you complete the course to view the certificate go to the "My Courses" page and click on "My Certificate" link on the left, then follow the prompts.

For the OLGR RSA course you receive two certificates.
1.     OLGR RSA Training Course Certificate which is required to work in Qld, and
2.     Nationally recognised certificate unit code SITHFAB009A which is not valid in ACT, NSW, some Vic venues and Tasmania.

Certificates are provided as a PDF file which you can print out at the end of the training or login from another computer and print later or save and print.

For the Bridging course you get the OLGR RSA Training Course Certificate which is required to work in Qld. You can print off once you have sent CFT your previous other state or territory or national unit RSA certificate by email to cftqld@gmail.com fax: 07 56770622 or mail PO Box 21, Palm Beach Qld 4221.

For national RSA training course which is not valid in ACT, Qld, NSW, TAS and some licensed venues in Vic you receive a nationally recognised certificate unit code SITHFAB009A.
I want to do an RSA bridging course for Queensland what existing certificates can I use to Bridge from?

Any current national unit or other state or territory certificate can bridge to QLD OLGR RSA training course certificate. Students cannot bridge from a QLD LLD certificate - Students holding an LLD or an expired QLD OLGR certificate must do the full course. There is NO REFRESHER course available in QLD.

Once enrolled in the bridging course you fax/email a copy of your previous RSA certificate for authorisation. You will receive an email from CFT confirming authorisation and that you can print off your certificate once you have completed your course.

Is my old RSA certificate still valid?

OLGR RSA training course certificate is valid for 3 years. A National RSA Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date (check state requirements to see if the national RSA is valid in your state or territory). If you wish to do a Queensland OLGR approved RSA Bridging course you can fax/email/mail a copy of your national RSA certificate or current other state or territory certificate before you can print your OLGR RSA training course certificate.

Is the QLD OLGR RSA training all online?

Yes, 100% online.  If you would prefer to attend a class, please give our office a call or check out our training date calendar.

RSA suitable for airline crew!

I come from overseas and want to come to Australia to do some bar work, can I complete the RSA online before I get there?

No worries mate, but Australia has different laws in every state and territory so you need to check the state requirements, or choose to work in a state that does.

How do I log out of my course but make sure that my answers have been saved so that I can restart when I am ready?

If you have commenced your course you need to click the 'close' button on the top right hand corner of your training, this will bring you back to ‘My CFT courses’ page. Simply log out by clicking on ‘log out’ at the top right hand side. If you do not wish to do your training in one sitting you can log back in from any computer. Also a different user can train on the same computer and it will resume where they left off too.

When you want to recommence your training log in at https://my.cft.com.au  using your username and password and simply click back into the section you were up to.

My course enrolment email is missing, how can I find it?

Please check your "spam" or "junk" email folder for the email with your course enrolment codes. If you find the email in there you will need to move it to the "inbox" for the links to work (this is a security thing). You can either drag and drop the email or right click and choose "move to . . .” then select the ‘in box’. If you cannot find the email please contact support and they will confirm the address for you so that you can use your username and password to login.
