Annual Charity Event for Homeless needs volunteer Chefs

On 3 June Sydney Homeless Connect (SHC) is set to hold its fifth annual event for the city's homeless and it needs five chefs to help out on the day.

Volunteers and specialist providers that include doctors, dentists and hairdressers will be on hand at the event to provide much needed services to the city's homeless in order to improve their health and living standards.

Andrew Everingham, SHC co-founder and CEO said that, "The concept behind Sydney Homeless Connect is a simple but powerful one. We work to bring together our diverse community, to tap into their wide range of skills and expertise and direct them towards our cause."

"When we 'connect' and combine our knowledge and know-how, we prove to be an effective force in making a difference to people experiencing homelessness in Sydney."

As the homeless guests arrive, they will be greeted by volunteers who will offer support, encouragement and assistance in completing necessary paperwork as well as identifying services in order to access housing, employment, healthcare and hot meals to name just a few.
