City of Sydney gets award from NSW Food Authority

The NSW Food Authority’s Food Surveillance Award was awarded to the City of Sydney

for its hard work to ensure food safety in the city.

These awards recognise best practice in food hygiene by local government and authorities and are presented every two years.

The City carries out 2500 inspections each year to ensure food safety is of the highest standards  working closely with industry to maintain high standards and the majority of businesses are compliant.

More than 460 businesses in the city have signed up with 'Scores on Doors', that awards restaurants based on their hygiene standards a star rating.
