Food Courts putting customers at risk

Food poisoning in Australia sees appx 120 people die every year and over 5 million people suffer at least some form of food poisoning.

A Current Affair conducted a investigation into the food hygiene standards at food courts, and even though there are strict laws to oversee the quality and safety of food, numerous food venues could be putting your health at risk!

Numerous outlets in their investigation showed food being held and sold at temperatures which are way below the safe holding temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. The perfect breeding temperature for bacteria is between 5 and 60 degrees Celsius.
