Qantas is on the back foot defending its catering standards at Sydney first class lounge at the international airport.
One happy traveller was enjoying dining prior to their flight to London when they discovered in a mushroom risotto.
A spokeswoman for Qantas said that organic mushrooms had been used in the risotto which may have been the source of the "unidentified insect" which is thought to be a caterpillar.
Qantas previously in April compensated a passenger who found live maggots in a packet of trail mix on a flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne. The supplier was blamed.
