NT Department of Justice advise that you have one month from the date you start to obtain an RSA certificate. It’s important that you obtain your RSA certificate within a month of your start date because Licensing Inspectors or Police can inspect the venue’s ‘Training Register’ to check the staff training records.
The Training Register must contain the following information and be readily available should a Licensing Inspector or Police request to sight it:
- Employee name and date employment started
- Date of course certification
- A copy of each employees RSA Certificate
Not for profit organisations are not required to hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate at this stage, however it is highly recommended.
The department accepts an RSA certificate from any state or territory. CFT QLD offer the national RSA unit SITHFAB009A and also the Queensland OLGR RSA training course certificate – if you do the OLGR RSA course you get both certificates, yes two certificates! Our course is 100% online and iphone and ipad compatible. You receive your certificate immediately upon completion.
