As Schoolies and end-of-year celebrations approach, parents and guardians are reminded that the irresponsible supply of alcohol to anyone under 18 is an offence and carries a fine of up to $9,108.
To educate parents and other adults about the risks and penalties of supplying alcohol to minors, the Queensland Government has updated its 'No minor offence' community awareness campaign. The new poster and LCD screen image will be released in mid-October.
To keep patrons informed, licensees are encouraged to display the new sign and LCD screen image in their venues.
This is an important message to parents and other adults who might supply alcohol for unsupervised consumption by minors in a private place.
