A study conducted by Roy Morgan has found that the Gold Coast has Australia's highest rate of hometown gamblers. The survey, which quizzed just over 15,000 Australians, also found that the Sydney and Brisbane casinos were the least likely to attract locals.
Jupiters Hotel and Casino at Broadbeach has always been popular with locals due to the array of entertainment it has on offer, according to Echo Entertainment Managing Director Geoff Hogg.
"Jupiters certainly holds a lot of great memories for locals and we get a lot of feedback from guests along these lines, so it's fantastic to see the research reflect this. We always want to be a place locals continue to enjoy and be proud of, as well as driving tourism to the Gold Coast," he said.
