Today Tonight Major Health Investigations - Hygiene Disasters in Restaurants

A major health investigation exposes restaurants serving up things that are not on the menu.  Of the 6,000 restaurants in the Brisbane City Council, 4,000 have been inspected and of those 1,000 were found to be in breach. Brisbane City Council has introduced an 'Eat Safe' star rating system for food businesses and NSW, Victoria and South Australia are looking at similar systems.

Food poisoning can cause severe disfigurement as seen in video.

With higher temperatures, food is more at risk during Summer - Summer is food poisoning season.
