Worst year in NSW for salmonella, E. coli as global temperatures increase

Last week statistics released show 2016 was the worst year on record for diseases including  listeriosis, salmonellosis, legionnaires' disease, E. coli and dengue fever, which love the warmer weather conditions.

The worst figures in NSW history reveal at least five years for diseases caused by food poisoning and mosquito bites, as doctors warn climate change is looming as a public health emergency.
